NMSU ranks in 2024 U.S. News Best Colleges

New Mexico State University has once again been recognized this year in the U.S. News & World Report Best Colleges rankings.  
 
NMSU earned multiple spots on the list of 2024 Best Colleges rankings. This includes being listed in the top 300 overall rankings (tied 296), among seven other universities. NMSU also was listed on the top public schools ranking (tied 159) and in top performers in social mobility ranking (tied 245).  
 
As for best undergraduate programs, NMSU earned spots in engineering (tied 135), nursing (tied 154), computer science (tied 167), economics (tied 201), psychology (tied 203) and business (tied 244).  
 
Analysts and editors at U.S News used a wide variety of data sources to calculate more than 80 Best Colleges’ rankings. The rankings highlight colleges that excel in areas such as value, social mobility, teaching, veterans’ needs, historically Black colleges and universities and in six academic disciplines, business, computer science, engineering, nursing, and new this year, economics and psychology.
