Salvador “Sal” Rodriguez: recently retired from the Department of Defense, this past July 2023, after 28+ years in Research & Development (R&D), as an Expert in Conceptual, Developmental and Operational Test & Evaluation (T&E). Sal served Active Duty for the United States Air Force as a Flight Test Engineer and as a Civil Servant for the Department of Defense (DoD) for both the Air Force and Navy as a Test and Evaluation Professional. Sal’s professional career involved supporting as team member and as team lead in a variety of R&D & T&E kinetic and directed energy systems in the operational regime of air-to-air, air-to-ground, ground-to-air, ground-to-ground, and space. Sal’s experience in Project / Program Management, Test Conductor, and Mission Director, spans several hundred projects and the execution of thousands of laboratory tests, and open-air flight test events. Sal currently serves as an adjunct faculty member with the DACC Math Department, and as a Professor of Practice with the Industrial Engineering Department - NMSU’s College of Engineering. Sal is also enrolled in the Doctoral Program at NMSU’s Industrial Engineering Department.
